  • TBT-S can be delivered in a variety of formats- in an outpatient therapy session, in group format and in an intensive multi family format. The research for TBT-S has predominately been in the 5 day multi family therapy format which involves a group of participants (between 4-8 people) plus their support person(s) (up to two per participant) attend 5 consecutive days of treatment. These programs are facilitated by a group of clinicians, dieticians and medical practitioners and include three meals per day, skills based learning, psychoeducation and experiential activities. This format requires additional supervision and consultation for services to ensure the program is well supported and the facilitators have the necessary skills to deliver the program effectively.
